CTI Technology in Kazakhstan
- The American company CTI Industries has developed an advanced low-cost technology for repairing heat exchanger tubes of condensing units and other heat exchange equipment.
- The essence of the technology lies in installing thin-walled metal liners (inserts) inside the defective tubes and then mechanically and/or hydraulically expanding them to ensure full surface contact.
- By using materials made from particularly strong and corrosion-resistant alloys for the inserts, it has become technically possible to return previously plugged tubes to operation and extend the life of the heat exchanger apparatus for many years, eliminating the need for costly tube bundle replacement.
